Maria started yoga to recover from an injury. She needed to find a deeper connection to her body. She is a nurse and a qualified sports massage/remedial therapist. Her main interests are biomechanics and helping students find their own individual inner journeys. Yoga was love at first sight for Maria, and now is her daily date with herself. She wakes up every morning between 3.30-5am to get on the mat. Breath after breath, movement after movement. she finds that Yoga gives her physical and mental strength. It's grounding, calming and a mind-body connector. She loves many different styles, and in her classes she emphasizes technique, controlled and strong movements all guided by the breath. Yoga is a process, a path that will create a solid asana practice, a peaceful mind, an open heart and a smiley face.
