Perform the Tour de France

STAGE 1

1st - 5th July

With a hilly opening Perform the Tour swings into action and our first stage could make a deep impression on the general classification.

We feature the short but stiff Col de Marie (5min average watts), but the Cat 1 climb to Cauterets (9min wkg) is the main event of stage 1.

5min ITT / TTT, individual and team time trial
3 x Intermediate Sprints 20secs, 20secs & 30secs
3 Punchy Climbs. 3min, 5min & 4min, 1 x Cat 1 Climb 9min

THE COMATIVITY AWARD

 

After every stage, our instructors decide the stage's most worthy rider. Not necessarily the stage winner, it could be someone who has given the best, consistently attacked, or been a key player in the stage outcome.
The Super Combativity Award is given on the final stage for the most consistent rider throughout the entire Tour.

BEST TEAM

 

With numerous Competitions contained within our TdF event, there is plenty of opportunity for riders with different strengths to enjoy racing their friends and colleagues.

The Team Classification is based on the collective distance of the three highest-placed riders in the General Classification from any teams entered.

YELLOW JERSEY - MAILLOT JAUNE

 

Our Perform the TdF race's fabled Yellow Jersey, or Maillot Jaune, stands above all else, as it designates the rider who leads the General Classification. After each stage, we calculate who has travelled the furthest across the entire stage.
The jersey then goes to the overall leader, who gets to virtually wear it in the following stage.
Contenders for Yellow - and, therefore, the overall Perform the Tour de France title, will be well-rounded cyclists and smart tacticians with skills in both climbing and time trialling.

THE POLKA DOT JERSEY

 

The Polka Dot Jersey goes to the leaders of the Mountains Classification, otherwise known as King of the Mountains. Points in this contest are awarded to the first riders who reach the summit of designated climbs on each stage.

WHITE JERSEY - MAILLOT BLANC


The white jersey, or maillot blanc, goes to the General Classification leaders who are 50 years old or older (on January 1).
Put simply, it goes to the best older riders with the furthest distance achieved.
This is for our amazing and ambitious evergreen mature all-rounders in the race, winning the white jersey is like winning yellow.
As we all know age is no barrier to fitness or indeed excellence.

GREEN JERSEY - MAILLOT VERT


The Green Jersey, or Maillot Vert, goes to the leader of the Points Classification. Riders can earn these points at intermediate sprints that come mid-stage, though most are won at the stage finish sprint for the first 7 riders.
While known as the "Sprinter's Jersey," the Green Jersey will ultimately go to a well-rounded and consistent rider.
Although most points are traditionally gained at the finish of the stages (where the sprinters can shine), the competition can also award riders who show tremendous persistence, picking up points on the intermediate sprints where they can.

Your health is your responsibility. The management and staff of Digme are dedicated to helping you take every opportunity to enjoy the facilities that we offer. With this in mind, we have carefully considered what we can reasonably expect of each other.

Our commitment to you

1. We will respect your personal decisions, and allow you to make your own decisions about what exercise you can carry out. However, we ask you not to exercise beyond what you consider to be your own abilities.

2. We will make every reasonable effort to make sure that our equipment and facilities are in a safe condition for you to use and enjoy.

3. We will take all reasonable steps to make sure that our staff are qualified to the fitness industry standards as set out by the Register of Exercise Professionals.

4. If you tell us that you have a disability which puts you at a substantial disadvantage in accessing our equipment and facilities, we will consider what adjustments, if any, are reasonable for us to make.

Your commitment to us

1. You should not exercise beyond your own abilities. If you know or are concerned that you have a medical condition which might interfere with you exercising safely, before you use our equipment and facilities you should get advice from a relevant medical professional and follow that advice.

2. You should make yourself aware of any rules and instructions, including warning notices, and follow them. Exercise carries its own risks. You should not carry out any activities, which you have been told are not suitable for you.

3. You should let us know immediately if you feel ill when using our equipment or facilities. Our staff members are not qualified doctors, but there will be a person available who has first aid training.

4. If you have a disability, you must follow any reasonable instructions to allow you to exercise safely.

Limitation of liability

By attending classes, events, activities, and using the studio facilities and equipment, you hereby acknowledge on behalf of yourself, your heirs, personal representatives and/or assigns, that there are certain inherent risks and dangers in the strenuous nature of Digme classes. You acknowledge that you have voluntarily chosen to participate in intense physical exercise. You hereby agree to assume full responsibility for any and all injuries or damage, which are sustained or aggravated by you in relation to the use of equipment and/or studio facilities, and release, indemnify, and hold harmless Digme.
