MATRIX TIMETABLE UPDATES
We’re making some changes to our MATRIX timetable. Thank you to everyone who’s given us feedback – we really value our members opinions and want to continue to improve, grow and evolve. And ultimately we want to ensure that you continue to enjoy the best workout possible.
We’ve simplified our MATRIX timetable to focus on one MATRIX concept per day of the week. This will be in place from 12th August, but please note MATRIX GAMES will be taking place on the Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday for that week.
Here’s the new weekly schedule for MATRIX:
Monday MATRIX TOTAL BODY
Tuesday MATRIX META
Wednesday MATRIX CORE
Thursday MATRIX TOTAL BODY
Friday MATRIX META
Saturday MATRIX TOTAL BODY, META, CORE or RUN
Sunday MATRIX TOTAL BODY, META, CORE or RUN
The new timetable will allow members to experience the full benefits of our MATRIX programme. With each concept designed to compliment each other by focusing on different areas of the body, you’ll get a more rounded and complete weekly exercise programme.
We have also made some tweaks to our workout names and branding.
MATRIX TOTAL BODY (Formerly MATRIX)
Based on three elements - run, condition, move – this is a total body workout.
Each class features the Technogym SKILLMILLS, kettlebells, TRXs and integrates the 7 primal movement patterns in every single class; Push, Pull, Squat, Lunge, Twist, Bend and Locomotion.
We nearly forgot to mention the three 1 minute group Digs!
The mix of short and hard work interspersed with rest periods will leave you burning energy for hours!
Matrix Core still uses the three elements - run, condition, move, but has been specifically designed to focus on your core strength.
Featuring dynamic movements to build the foundations of your fitness, focusing on your athletic performance, posture, strength, power and stability.
And not a single sit-up in sight (it’s true!).
There will be one 1 minute group Dig.
The ultimate metabolic conditioning workout. Meta is ancient Greek for 'go beyond' and that's exactly what you will do in Matrix Meta.
Featuring big compound movements, kettlebell and TRX exercises. You’ll also use the SkillMills as we take your Matrix training to another level.
Did we mention that there will be one 9 minute Dig! Prepare to ramp up the intensity!
Not just for runners!
Matrix Run incorporates the 3 elements – run, condition, move to build on the strengths you need to be a more efficient athlete / runner.
So get ready to bulletproof your body as we focus on speed, power and balance. We’ll use stability boards and bands to activate the body.
And it wouldn’t be Matrix without a Dig so make sure you save some energy for the one 3 minute Dig
